Locks of love is a non-profit organization that provides the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Most of the recipients have lost their hair due to a medical condition known as alopecia areata, others from radiation treatments and severe burns. These prostheses help to restore their self-esteem and self- confidence.
One of Cherese's best friends, Sophia and her husband and her sister, all cut their long black hair and donated it in memory of Cherese. For lots of wonderful pictures and more information, check their web site.
